Show-Off / Outgoing / Oblivious / Wants to be Admired / Sarcastic / Aggressive

Show-Off » Cenric loves to flaunt his abilities, even if others don't want to see them. He shows this most prominently in his painting, where he makes his signature large on the back. Other instances involve magic, just to prove he has the talent for it. However, not everyone trusts him because of this trait, since he used to spend time with a little girl from the human kingdom.
Outgoing » Socially, he is so active and outgoing it's amazing if he ever stops talking. He always tends to be in the middle of things, and if he isn't, he's still right where he can see the action.
Oblivious » Unfortunately, Cenric is fairly oblivious to the needs, cares, and emotions of others. He demands so much attention from them that, when it comes down to it, he hardly regards them at all. Very few ever make it to his “inner circle” of friends, the only ones he ever really pays attention to.
Admiration » He has no desire to admire others. No, quite the opposite is true. Cenric wants others to look up to him, to see him as a role model and to be in awe of his talents.
Sarcastic » Cenric's favorite form of humor is sarcasm. It is also his favorite tone of voice. He uses it when he thinks someone is doing something stupid, or if said person is fairly idiotic, and thus most of what he says is sarcastic.
Aggressive » Patience is not something he has ever had, and unlikely to be something he ever has. The only person he has ever kept calm with entirely was Emily, a human girl he befriended. Friends get three “patience points.” Once they've irked him three times, he snaps. Strangers have zero patience points.

History »
Cenric is still young, but that doesn't mean his life hasn't been full of drama already. However, at the beginning, he was much like any other kitten.
He was the first born in a litter of five kittens. His parents showered him with attention and wanted him to be the best. Cenric still played with his siblings, or at least he did when he had the time. Kittenhood was a bit rough on him with the demands from his parents to learn to hunt quickly, quietly, and only catch quality prey. At about a year old, he finally escaped from his overbearing parents.
Since his family rarely traveled far in the Human Realm, he began haunting areas close to where humans took up their residence. Here he met a little girl named Emily. Emily was an only child and was fairly poor, but she befriended Cenric and spent time talking to him and playing with him. Though Cenric never gave any signs that he was more than just a regular stray, Emily repeated often to him that he was the only one who really understood. For being her friend, she gave him a piece of red cloth torn from her only other dress, one that once belonged to her grandmother, and told him that it wasn't much but that it would keep him from freezing to death in the winter.
Unfortunately, their friendship could not last. Emily's father finally got fed up with having a cat around his house, and accused Emily of giving what little food they had to “that cat.” Emily told Cenric that he couldn't come back anymore, and gave him a teddy bear that she slept with at night. Cenric tried to return once after that, but was assaulted by a large leather boot to the head from Emily's father.

» Cenric's real name is Nero, but since Emily always called him Cenric, he took that as his name once he could no longer see her.

Roleplay Sample » (The dreaded RP sample! Oh well. The below scene is Emily talking to Cenric.)

“I really feel you understand what I am saying, Cenric,” Emily said, scratching the top of his furry head. He purred, the sound rumbling across his throat and vibrating through his very being. Vaguely he wondered what his parents would think if they could see him now, a tom cat spending time with human child. His thoughts faltered when Emily rubbed his chin; he leaned forward and closed his bright blue eyes, the rumble of his purr growing louder still.
Emily dropped her hand to her side, sighing. Cenric gazed up at her, tilted his head, and had to bite his tongue to keep from doing something that might reveal the existence of his second home. What's going on? he wondered as he watched a tear leak out of Emily's eye. He put his paws on her chest and gently licked away the tear.
“You have to leave, Cenric. Father is upset that I'm talking to you and playing with you. Oh, don't be sad,” she soothed, hugging Cenric. “I want you to take Teddy. That way you can remember me. Maybe someday we'll meet again.”
